“We Fix Unacceptable Work”
It’s something you’ve probably seen in our brand messaging and an important part of what we do at ILash Charlotte. Unfortunately, there are people out there (with lash extensions) who simply don’t what their lash experience should be like. Here are a few things you should expect from a quality lash artist.
You should expect customized, styled lashes
Red flag #1, extensions that are all one length. This mostly happens due to lack of proper training. Lashing is an art. A good lash artist will use face mapping, eye shape, facial shape, lifestyle factors and natural lash condition to mix curls and lengths for a customized look.
You shouldn’t experience pain or irritation
It’s not normal to having painful or burning eyes after a lash application. You might have some slight watering during the process but burning and pain should NOT be part of the experience. It could actually indicate a serious problem and you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. It also could be a sign of poor application or caused by adhering extensions to your eye lids (skin).
Your lashes shouldn’t be tangled
Does brushing your lashes hurt and pull? Do they look criss-crossed and mangled? This is from poor isolation and improper lashing techniques.
Lashes should last more than a few days
At iLash Charlotte, we recommend 2-3 week fills. If your lashes are falling out after a few days, then there’s a problem. I should mention that not all retention issues are caused by the lash artist. It’s worth mentioning to your lash artist your retention problems so she can work to help figure out the problem and find a solution.
You should expect to get what you pay for
In the world of lashes, you get what you pay for. Remember, lash extensions are not clusters or flares. They are falsies or strip lashes. They are semi-permanent lash extensions applied individually in a strategic way.
