Classic, Hybrid, or Volume: Understanding Different Lash Styles

Feb 20, 2020

Client education is something we pride ourselves on at iLashCharlotte. Beyond understanding how to properly care for your lashes, it’s also important to understand your lash options so we can create the perfect set of lashes for you! Over the years, we’ve worked hard to simplify our service menu to better help our clients- Here’s a closer look!

Classic Lashes

This is where to start if you’re new to lashes. Compared to volume lashes, classic lashes create a more “natural-looking” lash line. In this one-on-one technique, each natural lash receives one lash extension. Since all lash sets are completely customizable, we work with clients to choose the best curl and style to achieve their desired look.

Volume Lashes

Applying volume lashes requires a significant amount of skill as hundreds of lashes are applied to boost the volume and length of your natural lashes. It’s important to remember that Volume Lashes can look natural, too! Volume lashes are really about creating a darker lash line or what we call the “eyeliner look” that gives clients the option to really enhance their lash line. This style uses a technique that starts with 3 lash extensions per 1 natural lash.

Volume lashes are great for clients who want to go to the next level because you can typically add around 100 more lashes per eye! How is this possible? Volume lashes are lighter and finer than signature lash options so you can add multiple extensions per eyelash without damaging the natural lash.

Hybrid Lashes

Looking for something in-between maximum volume and subtle classic? Our hybrid sets incorporate the best of both worlds! We create hand-made volume fans and blend them into classic lashes for a soft yet sultry look that POPS!

The best part about Hybrid Lashes is that you can mix in Volume without having to spend the time it takes to complete a full Volume set (about 3 hours). Hybrid sets take the same amount of time as our Classic Sets which is great for the client on the go.

Regardless of which option you choose, our lash extensions will enhance the natural beauty of your eyes and eliminate the need for mascara – wake up feeling gorgeous!
