Curly Lash Critique

If you have curly hair, then you already know the struggle! It takes you an hour to straighten, sometimes you straighten only to re-curl, some days the weather forecast is not working with you. Brushing your gorgeous tame? Seemingly impossible! Did you know that your lashes can have some of the same issues?

Lashes come in all different styles, curly, straight, thin, or thick. Maybe you’ve never thought about what type of lashes you have which is why it’s essential to work with an experienced lash artist. You’ll really want to work with someone who creates custom sets who can find the right curl for you.

For lash artists, one of the most important things to remember when styling curly lashes is to place the extension underneath the natural lash for better retention and a more secure bond. Curly lashes also tend to lean left or right. Be sure to always attach lashes at a 90 degree angle, no matter which way the lash is leaning. Lashing in the direction of the natural lash will cross extensions, giving a “spidery” look. As always, remember to style lashes based on shape of the eye and the health of the natural lash.
