Although it’s sad to think about, animal cruelty is an especially important topic in the beauty industry. Unfortunately, animals are being used to test more beauty products than you might think…including some eyelash extensions.
According to investigations led by PETA, mink fur comes solely from mink farms where the animals are kept in rows of cages that are not cleaned. After only having lived in a stressful, dirty environment, the minks are then killed for the use of their fur.
Some products will try to tell you that their mink fur is cruelty free because they “dust” the fur off of the animals. However, no farm has been able to prove that they can remove the mink’s fur that way.
