With fall on the horizon, everyone is talking about the change of seasons. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because everything in nature changes. It’s a beautiful time of transition for Mother Nature and the perfect opportunity for us to grow and transition personally and professionally.
Last week, I spoke to a friend who is a newly certified lash artist in Virginia. She’s in the beginning stages of her career with a lot to learn but has the talent and dedication. One thing she mentioned was her love for C curls. I immediately understood why a beginning artist would feel this way.
They are safe.
They are versatile.
They are reliable.
You can make an entire set out of C curls. Don’t get me wrong, I love C curls and realize they are an essential part of a lot of lash styles. My point is look beyond the C curl even in the early stages of your career. Branch out and learn how to mix curls. You’ll never grow if you stay in your comfort zone.
This is true in your lash studio and in life. There’s more to life than just C curls. There’s going to come a time when you need to apply a D curl for someone looking for a little more drama. Or a new CC curl which is the new hype. Regardless, will you arm yourself with the knowledge and skill set necessary to step up to the challenge, or will stay in your comfort zone.
