What Brushing Really Does To Your Lash Extensions

If you’re new to lashes, then you probably don’t even want to touch your perfect lash line in the beginning. There are a few rules to abide by in the beginning (like don’t get them wet for 24 hours) but brushing your lash extensions is actually an essential part of client care. Here are a few reasons why…

Prevents Premature Breakage

When lashes aren’t separated, they can twist and sometimes criss-cross. This is bad news for your extensions! You’ll want to use an approved mascara wand to gently comb your lashes at least once a day.

Creates Flawless Lashes

Just like the hairs on your head, messy lashes can ruin your look. Keeping them brushed helps really show off your lash line in its full perfection! Remember not to add mascara as those oils can break down the adhesive and cause additional problems with premature shedding.

Avoids Follicle Clogging

When you don’t brush your lashes, you can really set yourself up for some complications with dirt and debris. Brushing helps remove particles that can clog your pores and cause the follicles which makes it difficult for new lashes to grow.

Helps Lashes Last Longer

Brushing results in better retention for all of the reasons mentioned above. Proper client care ensures safety and helps you get the most out of your refill appointments. Don’t make the mistake of investing in gorgeous lashes only to throw it all away by improper at-home care.

Is it so much to ask for a simple 15-20 second lash sweep in the morning?

Carving out a little TLC for your lash extensions can go a long way when it comes to retention.
