Itemize To Monetize Your Lash Business

The daily life of a lash entrepreneur is jam-packed with a to-do list a mile long. It’s not your average 9-5 job (others in the beauty industry know what I’m talking about!) And, when you’re the business owner, your to-do list seems to multiply every day.

Luckily, when you prioritize your tasks and address the most pressing, most and most important things first, you can feel less overwhelmed and more organized. Even though big things are your list are likely very important and should take priority, it’s the little things that can end up costing your business BIG in the end.

Part of having an entrepreneurial mindset is being opportunistic yet diligent. That $3.55 receipt you mindlessly threw away for your morning coffee might not seem like a big deal at the time, but it adds up! This is why it’s essential to monetize your business.

Follow this quick list of common entrepreneurial money mistakes that can help you make the most out of your business- literally!

Stop trying to do everything by yourself.

I know I was guilty of this when first starting out. But, as my team and business started to grow, I learned a lot about the value of outsourcing and delegating tasks that weren’t my strengths.

Work smarter, not harder!

If you want to increase your efficiency, your team’s productivity, and the reach of your business the answer might not always be to do more or work harder. A good entrepreneur can take a step back and find ways to work more efficiently (remember, time is money!)

Save Every Expense

Every coffee, every snack, every trip, gas, and mileage … they all add up!! You could be throwing money out the window when it comes to tax time if you don’t properly itemize and report your expenses.

Most importantly, don’t forget to invest in your business. It doesn’t have to be thousands of dollars upfront to go broke, but be willing to spend a little to make more. You can’t skip elements like blogging, advertising, and marketing or else your business will suffer.

Make decisions that are best for YOUR business and your budget and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing!
