It’s a new year full of so many exciting opportunities for your beauty business. Hopefully you’ve had a chance to reevaluate your business strategies and marketing plans for the new year. If so, make sure those plans include a weekly blog. It’s an essential piece of marketing you NEED to be doing for your brand. Unfortunately, having to come up with blogging topics each week can be overwhelming which is why we’re sharing some of our tips to help you create killer content.
The iLashCharlotte blog started way back in May of 2016 and has been a weekly feature ever since! If you think about it, that’s roughly 80 WEEKS of blogging. That’s 80+ blogs about the lash industry which proves our point that you can NEVER run out of blog topics so forget about using that as an excuse. The one thing that we do each week is come up with fresh inspiration for new blog topics. It’s really all about being inspired and adding a spin that’s relevant to your brand. Here’s how we do it….
1. Google Alerts. Set up a Google alert for key words relevant to your business. For example, we use phrases like “Eyelash Extensions”. In this free service, Google will email you new content that has been published on the web under those key words. This is a great way to stay UpToDate and gain inspiration from others in your industry.
2. Check out industry forums. This is a great way to gain blog inspiration by seeing what people are talking about. Often times, eyelash artists will share their challenges, ask questions and post tips that all make for great blog inspiration. Answering a question or addressing a popular concern is a great formula to use for any blog.
3. Get creative. Think outside the box for some blog pieces. What topics can you think of that are related to your industry and pertain to your audience? We’ve done blog posts about eye shapes, lash cycles, allergies and glasses to name a few. Think about the big picture which will help you create engaging content. When all else fails, hire a professional blogger for some help! Don’t let lack of time hold you back from creating a killer blog to help promote your brand.
