In case you haven’t noticed, volume lashes are in! Instagram is full of flawless sets that probably took 5 hours to design but who’s counting? As full-time lash entrepreneurs, we understand that your day-to-day clientele is somewhere between classic and volume (we call these Hybrid sets). But, when you find a client or two who wants some Volume fluff, here are a few things to keep in mind to create a perfect set.
1. Block Off Enough Time. If you want to give them jaw-dropping volume, then you have to block off hours. Even for an experienced lash artist, mega volume set can take 3+ hours. The fluffing possibilities are endless! Blocking off this amount of time every few weeks can interfere with your other loyal clients so make sure you are charing for your time accordingly.
2. Use Short Lashes. You read that right, use shorter lashes for thicker, fuller sets. The beauty of shorter lash lengths is that they are great to use when you want to create density and thickness (like with volume lashes). You don’t always need to use “bigger” lashes for better results.
3. Advanced Your Education. Remember, classic certification alone is not enough to start Volume lashing. Volume lashes, especially mega sets, requires advanced skills and styling techniques. Volume lashing is another level of lashing entirely.
At Industry Lash Pro, we’re happy to work with classic lash artists who have been lashing for 6+ months. If you are already certified in Classic Lashes, check out our private mentoring options for hands-on training at eyelashcharlotte.com/training.
