When you post something online about your business, who are you speaking to?
Depending on your post objective, it could anyone from your peers, the general public, or, of course, clients & potential clients. One of the biggest mistakes lash entrepreneurs can make is not properly identifying their target audience. If your marketing has been falling short or you just don’t know where to begin, start with these tips to understand more about your market.
Let’s start with one of the most popular objectives for any business owner….to get more clients. When your goal is to gain a new client with your marketing and advertising, be sure you have a clear understanding of your audience by asking these questions:
• What’s a reasonable radius for travel? This is a 2-3 week fill-in service so targeting people 30 miles and beyond – especially in bigger cities- would be a waste of your advertising dollars.
• How old are they? We just did an evaluation of our following, audience, and clientele to learn more that our primary audience is women ages 25-34 and our secondary market is women ages 35-44)
• How do they spend their money? Where do they shop? What website do they frequent? You can use this information to specifically target advertisements on Facebook and social media ads…don’t forget about
remarketing.
• Income level matters! We all know that lashes are an investment worth every penny, but it’s important to spend your time marketing to the people who can afford your rates.
These are just a few demographics to keep in mind when marketing your business. Keep in mind that your audience can change for each post- it’s all dependent on your objective.
Whatever kind of marketing or advertising you do, make sure you are armed with knowledge so you don’t throw money down the drain!
