How To Create A Texturized Lash Look

If you’ve ever observed your hair, you’ve probably noticed that it doesn’t all grow perfectly in sync. About a month after a haircut, your straight chop will fade into a texturized, natural look because our hair grows differently. The same is true for lash extensions.

Our eyelashes don’t all grow at the same length and they certainly don’t all have one type of curl. A lash line that is all one length screams fake… don’t you agree? That’s why it’s important to implement texturizing in lashes.

Texturizing helps extensions resemble lashes in their different stages of growth, the anagen phase, the catagen phase, and the telogen phase. It also helps eliminate harsh lines for a classic, natural look which is a signature at iLashCharlotte. To give your client a flawless, ‘I woke up like this’ look, we’ve got a few texturizing tips.

As we said, follow the anagen, catagen, and telogen phases in terms of length. Anagen is the growing phase, which you can replicate with a longer extension. The catagen phase is the regression phase, where the hair follicle shrinks and detaches, aka a shorter extension. The telogen, a resting phase, can mean one lash is lying on top of an old one. All three stages can be replicated by alternating slightly shorter or longer lashes, as well as different types of curls. Accurately replicating these phases will keep your client’s lashes looking natural, and yet still full of drama.

We’ve got texturizing tips and so much more in our upcoming Classic Lash training courses. End 2017 with a bang and join us for our classes on November 19th or December 10th in Charlotte, NC.
