Blogging is such a great way to increase your brand awareness, improve your SEO and connect with your audience. Blogging even a few times a month can really help you become an authority in your industry and get noticed by potential clients! This month, we’re celebrating the 3 year anniversary of our blog! That means we’ve been pushing out more than 155 blog pieces and, we’ll be the first to tell you, sometimes inspiration runs dry. Topics don’t always come to us in a shining light. So, on the weeks when you are sure what to blog about, here are some ways to spark some inspiration.
1. Search forums. Check out some industry forums. What are others technicians, artist and professionals talking about? Often times, these forums are great sources of inspiration. Find a topic and run with it. Assert your authority and knowledge.
2. Solve a problem. This is really a basic marketing strategy. Let your brand shine the light on a problem whether it’s from a client or another industry professional. What are lash artists struggling with? How are they trying to improve? What do potential clients need to know before booking?
3. Use Google. A quick Google search can be your best friend. Type in a search phrase that’s industry related and let the inspiration flow! Start by searching an industry term on Google like “lash extensions”. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and you’ll see “searches related to lash extensions”- BOOM! Right now I see everything from “Are they worth it?” (opportunity for a blog highlighting all of the benefits of lashes) to types of eyelash extensions (opportunity to blog about silk vs. mink).
